About Me

This Fall, I am joining Oklahoma State University as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science. While at OSU, I will be teaching Introduction to American Government and advanced courses in American Politics such as Voting and Elections.

I defended my dissertation, "Does Gender Representation Matter? Gender, Descriptive and Substantive Representation, and Women-Friendly Districts," on August 3, 2020. My PhD in political science will officially be conferred from the University of North Texas in December 2020.

My research and teaching interests include American politics and institutions (primarily Congress), women, gender and politics, representation, and historically marginalized groups.
